Berri Hotel gets naming rights and signage at local sporting complex

THE sporting precinct at Berri’s Alan Glassey Park will be renamed the Berri Hotel Sporting Complex and feature some new signage after the hotel entered into a sponsorship deal with local clubs.
The new name will be used for promotional and marketing purposes as part of a multi-year agreement between the hotel and key user groups.
An illuminated LED Berri Hotel logo will also be installed on the outside of the stadium.
Berri Hotel chair Paul Stewart said the sponsorship would provide benefits the complex’s user groups.
“A stadium of this capacity and standard has long been a key requirement to complement the Berri area’s first-class sporting facilities and we are pleased to be able to assist in its ongoing operation,” he said.
“The three key user groups – the Berri netball and basketball clubs and the Riverland Gymnastics Academy – will benefit as the cash sponsorship enables the group to cover their annual fixed costs.”
Mr Stewart said the initial sponsorship agreement would run for three years, though he expected the hotel’s support to be a “long-term arrangement”.
“The hotel is contributing funds to help the user groups underpin their annual fixed costs and to provide some surety to their collective financial positions,” he said.
“The sponsorship allows the name Berri Hotel Sporting Complex to be used for all promotional and marketing purposes, the same way (Adelaide’s) Football Park used to be referred to as AAMI Stadium.”
Mr Stewart said a more detailed announcement about the sponsorship, including its financial value, would be made at the time the sign is unveiled.
