THE Berri MFS was called to a Berri business last week after an alleged burn-off went south.
Berri MFS station officer Mark Wenman said the business owner had gathered some piles of vegetation and rubbish to burn off when one of the piles suddenly caught alight, spreading across the 10 by 10 metre area.
Mr Wenman said the owner and firefighters worked together to extinguish the fire using the owner’s machinery and MFS hoses.
No one was injured and no substantial damage was sustained.
