Barmera concert all about the vibes this Sunday

LIVE music in the Riverland is back in a big way this weekend with the Acoustic Vibes festival bringing a star-studded line-up of performers right to the heart of the region.
The festival will take place on Barmera’s Lake Bonney foreshore this Sunday, March 7, from 1pm until 8.30pm.
After having to reschedule due to COVID-19 border restrictions, an impressive line-up is now ready to wow audiences at the picturesque concert location.
The concert will be opened by local duo Kassie and Luke, before the likes of Taylor Sheridan, Reece Mastin, Thirsty Merc trio and Diesel hit the stage.
Mildura Entertainment event promotor David Storer and operations manager Matthew Cattach said it will be the “perfect” day out to enjoy live music in a relaxed setting.
Mr Cattach encouraged locals to take up the opportunity to enjoy a concert after a difficult 12 months of scarce live music.
“Being able to enjoy this kind of concert during this climate in your own backyard is something not to be missed,” he said.
“And not having to travel anywhere is what it’s all about.
“It’s going to be a very easygoing and relaxed atmosphere. That’s why we’ve gone with the catchphrase ‘it’s all about the vibe’ because that’s what we’re trying to promote.”
Mr Cattach said organisers were able to stick with the style of event they enjoy hosting.
“We haven’t actually had to change the event style for COVID,” he said.
“This is how we like to run some of our events, so it is more about sitting around tables with your friends and family, enjoying some good music, great wine or beer in a nice, relaxed environment.”
Organisers of Acoustic Vibes hosted a blues-style concert in Renmark in 2019 and intend on continuing to hold events in the Riverland.
“We’re hoping people will get out there and show interest in the event,” Mr Cattach said.
“Otherwise we can’t come back if we don’t have a successful event – and we definitely want to come back.”
