Arnold named as North’s A1 coach

THE final piece of Loxton North Netball Club’s preseason puzzle has fallen into place after the announcement of Sarah Arnold as A1 coach in 2021.
The announcement comes after the club’s lengthy search over the preseason.
Arnold, a 2019 A1 premiership player, takes the helm of a new-look North outfit in 2021.
“We’ve only got two girls remaining from that premiership side,” she said.
“Being a mixed group of fresh faces and older players, the vibe seems to be really good. The group is really excited to have stability moving forward,
“I think that’s helping build up a bit of momentum heading into the season.
“We’re not sure where the peak of the group is yet, but we’ve got some exciting players.”
Arnold’s decision to take on the role was swayed by the new playing group.
“I thought it would be a great group to be around that’s why I put my hand up,” she said.
Former association best and fairest winner Ellie Thomas returns to the club after what Arnold said was a “fact-finding mission” playing a year with Edenhope in the Horsham District Football Netball League.
“Heading back after playing a slightly different role and seeing how a different league works will be beneficial to her,” she said.
Among the club’s new faces is former Adelaide, now Loxton-based Georgia Brown, who was originally to line up with North in 2019.
Premiership captain Renee Williams has stepped back to play in Loxton North’s B grade in 2021.
