Amanda’s Oscar-worthy book hits the red carpet

A NUMBER of Oscar and Logie Award nominees will be gifted a novel written by Loxton author Amanda Maynard-Schubert as part of their awards ‘prize packs’.
A group of 2021 nominees will receive a copy of Mrs Maynard-Schubert’s novel The Bards of Birchtree Hall inside their traditional gift bags.
Mrs Maynard-Schubert said she was “excited” to share her book with the world.
“My publisher was first to offer me the Logies opportunity and I said yes straight away because I was looking at different ways to get my book out there,” she said.
“I got curious about product placement and the marketing side of things, so I had a look at how some of my author friends had advertised and ended up following this page on social media called Celebrity and Hollywood Gifting.
“I sent an email to the page and fortunately it was the right place at the right time because the Oscars gift packs were in the middle of being collated.
“I was offered the opportunity to have 25 of my books given to Oscars nominees and they’re on their way there as we speak.
“Five extra books were also sent over to America to be used for promotions at NBC and other outlets.”
Mrs Maynard-Schubert said she was grateful for such an opportunity.
“I feel excited that celebrities will have a copy of my book but I’m also extremely nervous, constantly hoping they’ll like it,” she said.
“If something comes out of it, then that’s fantastic. If not, it’s nice knowing it’s across the world and someone out there will be reading it. Not only does it put me on the map but it also puts Loxton on the map.
“Loxton will be on the red carpet soon and that’s something super special.”
Mrs Maynard-Schubert’s second book is scheduled for release this November.
