A dual celebration for schools’ music festival

THE Riverland Primary Schools’ Music Festival will celebrate a major milestone and a noteworthy achievement next month.
The festival will celebrate its 25th birthday, plus its 2020 Australia Day Community Event of the Year Award by participating in the Berri Traders Easter Parade on Saturday, April 3.
Riverland Primary Schools’ Music Festival musical director Cindy Ridley invited past and present choir members along with anyone who had been part of the event to join the celebration.
“We have a float organised for the Berri Traders Easter Parade and we would love for people to join us,” she said.
“All you have to do is wear your band uniform, choir T-shirt or costume, if it still fits, and walk with us.
“Before the parade, we will be singing a few songs and we would love some extra voices.
“There will be a rehearsal on Thursday, March 25, from 6pm to 7.30pm in the Monash Primary School music room 12.”
Ms Ridley said due to COVID-19 restrictions, participants must register.
“We would love people to pass this information on to anyone who has been part of this amazing festival but you must register,” she said.
“For more information or to do so, contact me via email (cindy.ridley513@schools.sa.edu.au).”
