Police are preparing a report for the state coroner following a suspected drowning at Waikerie.

Just after 3.30pm this afternoon patrols and paramedics were called to the Waikerie Community Pool after a boy, aged nine, was pulled from the pool unconscious.

A police spokesperson said paramedics worked desperately to revive the boy before rushing him under CPR to Waikerie Hospital where he sadly died.

There are no suspicious circumstances.
