Something to look forward to

LIFE remains at a standstill.
Many businesses remain closed, and social distancing is in place.

Today’s page two story details the Renmark Rose Festival committee’s plan to still hold the long-running festival, but in a “condensed” format.
Knowing some events will still take place in one way or another will give many Riverlanders hope and something to look forward to.

Locals are fantasising about that first meal out at their favourite Riverland restaurant, watching their children play sports and perusing shops without fear.
Other events like the Loxton Show and the Riverland Field Days are still up in the air, but let’s hope these popular fixtures can go ahead.
We still need to be cautious but let’s also be optimistic and get excited for life to get going again.
