Elf Magic’s quiz fundraiser a Morgan community success

THE Morgan Elves are celebrating the success of their Elf Magic Quiz Night, held on Saturday, July 26.
The event was a sell out and the Morgan RSL Hall was filled to capacity.
Quiz Master ‘Tinsel’ tested everyone’s knowledge of various subjects, including ‘good sports/bad sports’ and ‘the generation gap’.
Tinsel also had fun making up false statements for the true or false category, and now knows that some people will believe anything.
Contestants appreciated the display of questions on the huge TV screen at the hall, as well as access to the bar.
The winning team this year was ‘Stringbean’, apparently the nickname of the team captain, and team ‘Dad Knows’ received wooden spoons and ‘reindeer poo’ confectionery.  It turned out that dad didn’t know.
This event was a fundraiser for Elf Magic 2025, to be held on Saturday, December 6, but it couldn’t have happened without the support of the community and very generous donations from their sponsors.
The elves would like to thank Morgan RSL for the use of their hall, and the Morgan Small Bore Rifle Club for the loan of chairs.
We also thank The Hair Fairy Salon Morgan, Jodie’s Cakes Morgan, D.I.Y Inspos, Dark Sky Reserve Tours, Charity Paintball, Hamish’s Heritage Farm, Anna Beard, Jen Davis and Lisa Tite, for their very generous contributions to the silent auction, trading table and door prizes.
