Crows legends pass on tips to junior Magpies

FORMER Adelaide Crows players Paul Seedsman, and Scott Thompson, recently joined the Waikerie Football Club’s under 13 and under 15 teams in a training session.
The two players showed the youngsters some tips and tricks to help develop their skills.
Waikerie Toyota’s administration manager Amanda Hull said the visit by the two Crows legends was part of Toyota Australia’s Good for Footy program, run in conjunction with the AFL.
“It is about giving back to grassroots football and the community, and especially the drought-affected areas,” she said.
“The Adelaide Crows have also visited Jamestown and they are reaching out to bring a bit of cheer to the community.”
Ms Hull said Waikerie Toyota’s dealer principal Ian Sutton worked with Toyota and the Adelaide Football Club to enable Mr Seedsman and Mr Thompson to visit Waikerie, and train with the junior Magpies.
“We were lucky enough that the stars aligned and they were able to make the time to visit us at Waikerie,” she said.
Ms Hull said the two former Crows were impressed with the skills of the junior players and commented on how well the young female players performed.
Each of the junior players that took part in the session with the former Crows players received a Good for Footy football with their autographs.
Ms Hull said Mr Seedsman and Mr Thompson enjoyed visiting the Waikerie Football Club and were given a tour of facilities at the Waikerie Riverfront Community Hub.
