Sorry, but I have read this story and do not agree with the way Renmark High, has handled this problem. In actual fact, this School shows just how bad our Education system is at the Moment, in which the Education department must be held accountable. The Renmark high School since june last year, has had more bad publicity, than any other School in the Riverland. Early in the year, your newspaper did a story on students going to Loxton high because the Parents felt their children where not learning or they where unhappy with the discipline issues. Parents on many occassions are actually told their children are improving with their learning, only to learn later, still well below the State average, when doing the naplan test. Schools during the year give you a lot of imformation, which at times is not helpful to the Parent. A good example is the transition packs for year 7country areas are useless, as the imformation is on Adelaide Schools, being a waste of paper .No matter how much imformation was given to the Parents during the years for High school, the Parents should have been asked and warned this would happen,if the student did not improve. In finishing,if we had kept our tech schools, than just maybe the School and these students, would be better off. The whole Education system needs looking at now.

I have family members who, due to bullying and lack of support from the school, have moved to another Riverland school. The move has definately been benefical to their education. What is going on at Renmark High?
