I worked for Fletchers Freighters in the Melbourne Depot for almost 10 years, and for Julie Gibbs to say that the employees should take some of the blame I find insulting I worked 60-70hours weeks so as to enable the company to prosper and not for it to end the way it did, and all the staff that I had dealings with including drivers managers from various depots thought the same as I did that they did not mind going the extra mile so the company could succeed.

I think that her logic is totally wrong especially her assumption that the employees should shoulder some of the blame when majority of his long time employees would have bent over backwoods to support Fletchers Freighters, I think she should look closer towards the top of the tree and put the blame where it should be, she was not with the company for very long so she really does not know how much support and loyalty his staff gave him over the ten years that I was there and even longer for some of the other employees.

I personally lost 10 weeks sick leave and other employees lost a lot more as we would not take sick leave as it was all about the company, and I had not had holidays for three years and there were a lot of others who felt the same way as I did, now does that sound like people that should have to shoulder some of the blame for the way the company ended up? I don't think so.

So Julie I would say to you open your eyes and work out for yourself what happened and stop being brainwashed by certain individuals and point the blame where it should be, and not in direction of his loyal employees.
