School relocation2
THE RELOCATION of the Riverland Special School has been ongoing since 2004 when the governments wanted to redevelop the existing site when there was around 40 plus students.

Embellished headline1
IN REFERENCE to the police report headed 'Teen bashed at fundraiser' in a recent edition of The Murray Pioneer (30/3/10), I would like to express my disappointment in your reporting of the incident.

Cut immigration now
IN MY 65 years I've never voted Liberal, or Labor for that matter.

Schapelle’s horror story3
SCHAPELLE CORBY'S on the cover of Woman’s Day again.

To the lowlife degenerates who pilfered my locked pushbike (a blue Avante Hurricane) from the corner of Robin St and Wentworth Rd, may you incessantly stub your toes and regularly suffer from chronic bouts of diarrhoea.

Mike Rann has been tweeting away his time in the Riverland - great weather, great people, great ideas for the future. So why didn't you come listen sooner, Mike?
AMANDA
Berri

Calling Tim Whetstone. You can come out of your bunker now the election is done.

We should have a masters day for soccer. I know a few 40-something dads who could put on the boots for a family-friendly fun day.

Pandas have been moved into a safe location (Text the Editor, 20/8/10), because someone decided to help themselves to one of the pandas.

I can’t believe that in the current economic climate in the Riverland our property value is still going up in Berri Barmera Council rates zone.
ERIC
Berri

In answer to Phil (Text the Editor, 24/8/10), I really hope Renmark Paringa Council eventually amalgamates with Berri Barmera Council as their rates will go up and Berri Barmera rates will fall – won’t they?
DON
Berri

Mike Fuller, you are okay with words, but have no idea on facts and figures on the history of Lake Bonney. Maybe you haven’t been here long enough.
JOHN

Congratulations Melissa Tamblyn (The Murray Pioneer, 24/8/10). It was great to hear you won this award. You truly shine in your role. Thanks to whoever nominated you.
LINDA

Congratulations to Loxton High School and the cast of The Wiz. You did a brilliant job, a pleasure to watch.

I agree with Chris Beal’s letter in Tuesday’s Pioneer. I quite frequently have to drive between Renmark and Berri late at night and find the headlights on newer vehicles to be very blinding, especially on days when I am more tired than others. Regulations need to be changed.

Re: the front page of The Murray Pioneer last Friday (20/8/10) that the federal election was going to be a one horse race. Well Riverland, our donkey has come in.

Dancing with the Stars should be with 'the stars’, not their exes. Rigged?

I don’t think they get it. We did vote for who we wanted. Nobody.

Notice – to all ratepayers, especially those who have pulled out their vines and trees, sold their water and may be facing bankruptcy. Check out council’s plush, newly renovated ‘Buckinghuge Palace’ in Wilson Street. You might get some idea of where your council rates are being spent.
MIKE

I’ve had nothing but good service from our hard working council. Please keep up the good work.

The rest of the nation just found out that it’s an umpires’ game, but Port supporters have known this for years. I’ve had a gutful.
MARK
Paringa

Congratulations to the Power and its supporters. You will probably finish above the Crows on the ladder. I’m not happy, but Nick and the other four who barrack for Port will be ecstatic.
KYM

It was Groundhog Day for the Crows yet again against Collingwood.
