On attending the Lake Bonney Management Committee Monday night meeting as a concerned Barmera resident and listening to chairman Joe Gropler's comments on ABC radio on Tuesday morning, I feel compelled to comment on some of the inaccurate statements made.

COMMENTS

It has been suggested, in some quarters, that there may be an underground source of water that is adding water to Lake Bonney. This water source may also be "fresh", or, at least, not highly saline like known sources of groundwater that go into the lake. This notion may then well explain the apparent 'lack of evaporation' from Lake Bonney.
There is, in fact, a great deal that is still yet to be learned about the lake.
