School relocation
THE RELOCATION of the Riverland Special School has been ongoing since 2004 when the governments wanted to redevelop the existing site when there was around 40 plus students.
Embellished headline
IN REFERENCE to the police report headed 'Teen bashed at fundraiser' in a recent edition of The Murray Pioneer (30/3/10), I would like to express my disappointment in your reporting of the incident.
The only "skulduggery" at Lake Bonney involves the motives behind some of the decisions made down there.

I bathe with dirty water and had to drive on dirt roads up until recently (only 3km from Barmera town and Sturt Highway). I can also mention four other roads not far away that are still not sealed. I do not get any benefit apart from my bin emptied every Friday. So I think I'll reduce my payments to the Berri Barmera Council by 30 per cent, which is only fair. Anyone else feel the same? If just 10 per cent of us did this, I guarantee someone will start listening.

What an article by Mike Fuller in Friday’s Pioneer, just as informative as Brenton’s the week before. If Berri Barmera Council still aren’t listening to their ratepayers I hope they start soon before there is “a big rush to move to Renmark”. In this economic climate, everyone has to tighten their belts, not just the ratepayers.

Kerry (Text the Editor) would be glad to hear that Port had another great win against the not-so-happy, but highly rated team at Hawthorn.

To Nick, of Paringa: Winning dribble is good dribble. Three zip this year. Go Port.

I’m not tired of Nick’s footy babble just yet, but Nick, do you have an opinion on politics, or anything else, for example?

What a joke of an election. Voting on irrelevant policies that haven’t been refined, let alone finalised by those that endorse them in a matter of months. I’ll be voting a minority party to avoid responsibility.

I heard it through the grapevine there’s a stripper’s vacancy in Loxton advertised last week.

I hope the plaza can fill its empty shops soon (The Pioneer, 30/7/10).
