Strangely enough, Senator X's one time ally the Honourable Member for Mayo Mr. Jamie Briggs has become quite reticent to speak out against imported food now the election is over and done with and the decision to import Chinese apples (Mayo being the largest apple growing region in the state) has been given the green light.

One hopes Senator Xenophon at least continues the push to protect Australian produce and the Australian voters elect more to support him in his campaign.
